Glasgow is a painter whose geometric construction of form and colour harmonies can be compared to artists like Carlisle Chang and Carlisle Harris. He has been a staple of the Trinidadian art gallery scene for many years. His themes range from steelband players to the landscape. One can say that Glasgow is a painter of established “cultural motifs” such as a market vendor, an ajoupa or a steel pan player. Consequently his stylistic and thematic approaches register as “Modern” and “National” respectively.
The artist worked in the field of advertising and was Creative/Art Director at a leading agency in Trinidad for many years. The artist now lives and paints in Florida.
